Listening to the News

Here is a wonderful site for listening practice:

I recommend you listen to the news 3-4 times a week on this site and take notes while you are watching. There are quizzes to see whether you understood the news. This is really a great way to work on your listening outside of class.

Hello Students, from Carole Too

You will probably need to check this blog mostly with regard to Holly's class assignments, but I will be asking you to write on some topics here and comment on each other's ideas. It will be part of your homework grade. I'll give you instructions later. This is going to be a fun term. I can't wait to get started and get to know you all better. Yee Ha!

Welcome to the Blog

Hello students in 5A and 5B

The purpose of this blog is threefold. First, it will be a place for you to do some of your homework assignments. I will also place weekly schedules and vocabulary lists on it so if you're absent on Monday or you misplace (lose) your list, you can replace it easily.

The second purpose for this blog is for us to share useful information (where to go, where to shop, what to do if you have a problem, etc.). You can also use the blog to post items of interest, such as articles, pictures, invitations, etc.

Finally, I will use the blog to post different internet links for different activities such as on-line reading practice/quizzes and listening activities.

You should check this blog every few days in order to keep current with the class.
